One8, the performance-driven sportswear brand co-founded by Virat Kohli and supported by Agilitas Sports, has recorded a strong response with its debut footwear drop on District by Zomato, with pre-bookings selling out within minutes across India.
The launch marks a first-of-its-kind retail format in the country, combining online pre-booking with an exclusive in-person product unveiling experience. Customers who secured their pairs through the platform will gain access to the one8 Global Premiere on 21 June 2026 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, where Virat Kohli is expected to introduce the brand’s next phase while buyers collect their sneakers.
The concept, co-developed by one8 and District by Zomato, integrates digital commerce with experiential retail, turning a product drop into a curated cultural event. This approach positions the launch as more than a transaction, offering consumers a blend of exclusivity, access, and immersive engagement.
The debut footwear collection introduces two cricket-inspired lines, Seam and Cover Drive, designed around themes of performance, ambition, and personal expression. The brand also introduced Boom Rush, a multi-purpose trainer built for running and fitness activities, targeting hybrid athletes and active lifestyle consumers.
According to Agilitas Sports Co-Founder and CEO Abhishek Ganguly, the strong demand reflects growing consumer confidence in Indian high-performance sportswear brands with global ambitions. He highlighted that the upcoming Global Premiere event will enhance the overall experience envisioned for the brand.
District by Zomato CEO Rahul Ganjoo noted that retail is increasingly becoming experience-driven in India, with consumers willing to travel and participate in immersive brand moments when product launches are elevated into cultural events.
