Norwegian Cruise Line® (NCL) has welcomed its first guests aboard the highly anticipated Norwegian Aqua™, kicking off the ship’s maiden voyage from Lisbon to Southampton. This marks the beginning of a five-part inaugural series that will culminate in a christening ceremony in Miami this April.
As the first ship in the Prima Plus Class, Norwegian Aqua builds on the award-winning Prima Class with cutting-edge design, enhanced space, immersive entertainment, and more dining options. Over 2,000 invited guests are currently experiencing NCL’s elevated cruise offering during this exclusive preview sailing.
Innovations aboard Norwegian Aqua include the world’s first hybrid rollercoaster-water slide—the Aqua Slidecoaster, the tech-forward Glow Court with a dynamic LED sports floor, and the Aqua Game Zone with VR and arcade experiences. The entertainment lineup features standout shows like Revolution: A Celebration of Prince and Elements: The World Expanded.
The ship also debuts exciting new dining concepts, such as Sukhothai, NCL’s first Thai specialty restaurant, and Planterie, a plant-based eatery inside the Indulge Food Hall. Guests can enjoy 17 dining venues and 18 bars and lounges.
Following her debut, Norwegian Aqua will head to the U.S. for a Transatlantic voyage and be officially christened on April 13, 2025, in Miami, with Eric Stonestreet as godfather. She will then sail from Miami, Port Canaveral, and New York City, offering cruises to the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Bermuda through March 2027.
Travelers can also take advantage of NCL’s More At Sea™ program, offering savings of over 75% with perks like unlimited open bar, specialty dining, Wi-Fi, shore excursion credits, and free airfare for a second guest.
