NIVIA Sports Launches Official Indian Football Jersey

NIVIA Sports has unveiled the new Official Indian National Football Team Jersey. Designed and developed in India, the jersey combines performance technology with contemporary design and Indian cultural elements.

The new kit aims to serve more than matchday needs. It works as performance wear, everyday apparel and a collectible for Indian football supporters.

Members of the Indian football team featured in the campaign include Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Anirudh Thapa, Vikram Pratap Singh, Sahal Abdul Samad, Ryan Williams and Mohammed Sanan.

Bringing Indian Football Closer to Fans

For many years, cricket has dominated India’s sporting jersey culture. However, NIVIA Sports sees an opportunity to build a stronger connection between fans and Indian football.

The new jersey therefore combines sporting function with everyday appeal. It aims to reach both established football supporters and people who are discovering the sport.

Moreover, the design focuses on pride, resilience and the spirit of Indian football. Each detail combines performance with a distinctly Indian visual identity.

Indian Design Details

A woven peacock silhouette runs through the fabric as a subtle graphic detail. Inspired by India’s national bird, the motif adds movement and character to the jersey.

The Ashoka Chakra appears below the back collar. Meanwhile, the inside of the neckline features the words “Vande Mataram”.

These details add cultural meaning without taking away from the jersey’s modern sporting look.

Built for Performance

The jersey uses premium jacquard construction and strategically placed mesh panels. As a result, it supports breathability during active use.

The design also features moisture-wicking quick-dry technology, stretch comfort, an anti-odour finish and UV protection. In addition, fade-resistant sublimation printing helps maintain the design through regular use.

Therefore, the jersey combines comfort, durability and performance while remaining suitable for everyday wear.

Made and Designed in India

The launch also reflects NIVIA Sports’ longstanding focus on creating sports products in India for Indian athletes and consumers.

Made and Designed in India, by Indians, the new jersey brings this approach into a contemporary sportswear context. It combines local design thinking and sporting expertise with modern performance technology.

Speaking on the launch, Dhruv Kharabanda, Executive Director, NIVIA Sports, said:

“A national team jersey has the power to be much more than a piece of sportswear; it can become a gateway to a sport and a way for people to build a personal connection with it. India has traditionally had a strong jersey culture around cricket, and we saw an opportunity to create something that could help bring that same sense of connection to Indian football. We wanted this jersey to work beyond the pitch, as a collectible, as everyday wear and as a contemporary expression of Indian sport. At NIVIA, everything we create is Made and Designed in India, by Indians, and this jersey is a reflection of that philosophy. By combining modern technology and design with elements that are distinctly Indian, we hope to make Indian football feel more accessible to a new generation of supporters and, ultimately, encourage greater participation in sport. As we look ahead with our ‘Next is Now’ philosophy, this is another step towards shaping what the future of Indian sport can look like.”

Available Across India

The Official Indian National Football Team Jersey is priced at ₹3,499. It is available through NIVIA Sports retail stores and authorised partners across India.

Fans can also shop the jersey through NIVIA Sports’ official website.
