The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) made a dynamic impression at the six-day Silvassa Book Fair 2025, hosted by the Union Territory of Dadra Nagar Haveli Daman and Diu. The event saw thousands in attendance, with NIFT’s dedicated awareness counter drawing curiosity from 12th-grade and undergraduate students eager to explore fashion careers.

NIFT’s participation not only promoted its academic programs but also offered students a stage to display their talents. The institute hosted two fashion shows as part of the cultural segment — the first showcased elegant South Indian saree drapes celebrating India’s textile traditions, while the second featured vibrant tie-dye creations, reflecting innovation in textile design. A lively group dance added to the cultural vibrancy.

The event successfully combined outreach with cultural expression, allowing aspiring designers to connect with the community and gain exposure in a public forum. The Silvassa Book Fair concludes this Thursday.
