The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Daman, marked a historic milestone on January 22, 2026, commemorating 40 years of pioneering fashion education under the theme “NIFT @ 40 – Four Decades of Excellence (1986–2026).” The event at the NIFT Daman campus celebrated the institute’s enduring contributions to design, industry-oriented learning, and talent development, with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff.

The campus buzzed with festive energy, adorned in flowers, rangoli, and balloons. A highlight was the inauguration of a grand 33 × 6 feet Timeline Wall, chronicling NIFT’s journey, milestones, and achievements since 1986. Faculty and students unveiled the display, symbolizing the institute’s remarkable progress.

Campus Director Dr. Sanjay Srivastava extended his wishes inspiring students to pursue excellence in fashion education. He expressed strong confidence in NIFT’s continued growth and global impact.

The Cultural Club staged a Fusion Indo-Western fashion show, complemented by two singing performances and dances—one classical, one hip-hop. The Social Club fostered teamwork through a thrilling Treasure Hunt, with teams racing to uncover campus clues, and the innovative NIFT Act-a-Relay, where participants enacted NIFT-themed words for their teams to guess. Motivational fortune letters added an uplifting touch.

The Literary Club hosted a Spot Quiz on institutional trivia with instant prizes, followed by a two-round Quiz Competition on Met Gala 2025—featuring MCQs and a visual celebrity identification challenge based on iconic outfits.
