New & Lingwood, the distinguished British menswear brand, has introduced an innovative sustainability and circularity concept called Re:New at its Savile Row location in London. Re:New serves as a platform for engaging with customers and showcasing novel approaches to creating products that minimize waste without compromising on quality and innovation. Tom Leeper, the creative director at New & Lingwood, expressed that Re:New represents a unique opportunity to make significant strides in defining the future of luxury menswear. This space is designed to foster conversations around sustainability and circularity, providing an educational and experimental environment to explore these critical aspects of the fashion industry.

The Re:New concept is a tangible representation of New & Lingwood’s sustainability and circularity initiatives. It features a collection of one-of-a-kind dressing gowns crafted from recycled, surplus, and salvaged luxurious fabrics, which would otherwise go to waste. The brand goes a step further by offering an embroidery service for on-site personalization and a repair station where customers can bring their old New & Lingwood pieces, as well as cherished clothing items from other brands, to be given a second life by a team of skilled tailors and craftspeople.

Freddie Briance, the CEO of New & Lingwood, emphasized the significance of Re:New within the brand’s initiatives. It represents the first of several concrete steps taken to achieve their goal of becoming Net Positive. This platform will serve as an incubator for sustainable products, ideas, innovations, and business models that will eventually influence the brand’s main lines and core channels in the coming months and years. It is an exciting move for New & Lingwood as they continue to evolve in meaningful ways to meet the changing expectations and values of their customers in the fashion industry. Re:New is not just a concept but a commitment to sustainable practices, circular fashion, and an open dialogue with the brand’s community and customers to better understand and address these important issues in the world of fashion.
