Neeman’s Opens 50th Store in Hyderabad, Targets 500 Stores

The homegrown comfort-first footwear brand marks a retail milestone in its founding city and plans to expand to 500 stores across India within three years.

Neeman’s, a homegrown comfort-first footwear and lifestyle brand, has opened its 50th exclusive retail store in Panjagutta, Hyderabad. Spread across 2,437 sq. ft., the new store marks a significant step in the brand’s offline expansion. Neeman’s now aims to reach 500 stores across India over the next three years.

The milestone holds special significance because Hyderabad is where the idea for Neeman’s first took shape. Both founders, Taran Chhabra and Amar Preet Singh, are also based in the city.

Since launching its offline retail operations in April 2023, Neeman’s has expanded across key Indian markets. It continues to build on its digital presence by giving customers more opportunities to experience its footwear in person.

Neeman’s Introduces a New Retail Experience

The Panjagutta store combines contemporary design with curated visual merchandising. LED displays showcase the brand’s collections, while the store layout allows customers to explore different styles and silhouettes.

The space reflects Neeman’s focus on comfort, functionality and modern design. It also enables shoppers to experience the brand’s products and find footwear suited to their everyday needs.

To mark the opening, Neeman’s has created 10 special-edition pairs of shoes. These exclusive pairs will not be available for sale. Instead, the brand will display them at the store as keepsakes celebrating its retail journey.

Footwear Collections for Men and Women

The new store will offer footwear for men and women across several categories. These include lifestyle sneakers, walking shoes, slip-ons, slippers, oxfords, slides, sandals, clogs, flip-flops and flats.

Customers can explore collections such as Begin Walk, Rapid Breeze, Eco and Cushers. The store will also feature the Street Collection within its lifestyle sneaker range.

The assortment brings together everyday versatility, contemporary styling and the brand’s comfort-first approach. As a result, shoppers can explore different options for their daily routines and personal styles.

Founders Reflect on the 50-Store Milestone

Taran Chhabra, Founder and CEO of Neeman’s, said, “Reaching our 50th store marks a defining moment in the journey of building Neeman’s into a brand that stands for everyday comfort. Having this store in Hyderabad makes the milestone especially meaningful, as it brings us back to the city where the idea for Neeman’s first took shape. Our stores give customers the opportunity to experience our products firsthand and discover the thought that goes into every pair. As we continue to expand, our focus remains on creating retail experiences that reflect our commitment to comfort, thoughtful design and the trust we build with our customers.”

Amar Preet Singh, Founder and COO of Neeman’s, added, “The journey to our 50th store has been about understanding our customers better and creating a retail experience that consistently reflects our product promise. Every store gives customers a chance to explore our collections in person, find the right fit and experience the comfort that defines Neeman’s. The Hyderabad store is particularly special because of our connection to the city, and this milestone reinforces our commitment to making our products accessible to more customers across India.”

Franchise-Led Expansion Supports Growth

Neeman’s opened its first retail store in April 2023. Since then, the brand has developed its store operations, teams and processes to support a consistent customer experience.

After reaching 20 stores, the company activated its franchise-led expansion strategy. This helped it add another 10 stores within six months.

Today, Neeman’s operates across key markets in India. Western and Southern India together account for nearly 70% of its retail network, highlighting the importance of these regions to its expansion.

Neeman’s Targets 500 Stores Across India

With 50 exclusive stores now operational, Neeman’s plans to accelerate its offline growth while strengthening its omnichannel strategy. Its target of 500 stores within three years would significantly expand its physical retail footprint.

The expansion will complement the brand’s digital presence and give more customers access to its collections through in-store experiences.

The Panjagutta opening therefore marks both a return to Neeman’s roots and a new phase of growth. As the brand expands across India, it aims to make its comfort-led footwear accessible to a wider customer base.
