Pakistani home textile manufacturers equipped with Monforts dyeing and finishing technologies had a notable presence at Heimtextil 2026, held in Frankfurt from 13–16 January. The global home and contract textiles fair welcomed more than 48,000 visitors, providing a major platform for international sourcing and industry exchange.

Exhibitors included prominent Faisalabad-based producers such as Crestex, Faisal, Gohar and Kausar Processing, along with Karachi’s Al Karam, Adamjee, Liberty, Lucky and Rainbow, and Lahore groups including Kohinoor, Nishat Chunian and Sapphire.

Europe’s Strategic Role

For these vertically integrated manufacturers, Europe continues to be a critical market, valued not only for order volumes but for its high standards and long-term business stability. European retailers, brands and contract textile buyers are widely recognised for setting benchmarks in quality, safety and consistency across bedding, towelling and decorative textiles. Supplying this region supports Pakistani mills in positioning themselves at the premium end of the global value chain while strengthening credibility in other export markets.

Pakistan remains one of the few countries with large-scale vertical integration spanning cotton sourcing, spinning, weaving, knitting, wet processing, finishing and made-up production. This structure enables mills to meet European sourcing models that prioritise reliable large suppliers capable of controlling quality from fibre to finished goods.

European buyers are also placing greater emphasis on traceability, process transparency and season-to-season consistency. Integrated Pakistani manufacturers address these expectations by aligning yarn selection, fabric engineering, finishing and garmenting within a unified production ecosystem.

Technology Partnership

According to Manfred Havenith, Area Sales Manager at Monforts, Pakistan benefits from well-established trade routes to Europe and a manufacturing culture aligned with European operating norms. Companies rely on Monforts technologies such as MONTEX stenters, MONFORTEX sanforising systems and THERMEX dyeing ranges. Monforts continues to support customers through processing trials and optimisation work, both on-site and at its Advanced Technology Centre in Germany.

The company has also maintained a long-standing partnership with Al Ameen in Pakistan for over four decades. Ongoing collaboration, combined with research, development and machine innovations focused on productivity and energy efficiency, has helped Monforts achieve and sustain an estimated 80 percent share of the Pakistani stenter market. The company reiterates its commitment to supporting the continued growth of its customers in the region.
