Molteni&C Opens New Flagship Store in Auckland

The new flagship at 99 The Strand, Parnell, showcases Italian craftsmanship, contemporary furniture and international design talent.

Italian design brand Molteni&C has opened its new flagship store in Auckland, New Zealand. The new store marks another step in the brand’s expansion across the country’s contemporary design market.

Located at 99 The Strand, Parnell, the flagship brings Italian craftsmanship and modern design to one of Auckland’s leading creative neighbourhoods. It also reflects Molteni&C’s global vision of contemporary living.

The brand has partnered with Dawson & Co to open the new store. Together, they aim to offer customers an immersive experience of Molteni&C’s furniture and interior collections.

Molteni&C Showcases International Design Talent

The flagship features creations by leading designers and architects, including Vincent Van Duysen, Herzog & de Meuron, Foster + Partners, Jean Nouvel and Christophe Delcourt. Their work brings together different forms, materials and design styles.

At the entrance, the 2025 Indoor Collection welcomes visitors. The Marteen Sofa offers seating and storage, while the Logos System, both designed by Vincent Van Duysen, adds structure to the living area. The Lia Armchairs by GamFratesi complete the setting.

Further inside, the Hector System leads towards the dining area. Here, the Lise Table by Christophe Delcourt sits alongside Monk Chairs by Afra and Tobia Scarpa.

Nearby, the Emile Modular Sofa and Odile Coffee Tables create another living space. The Linea Armchairs by Christophe Delcourt and additional Monk armchairs by Tobia Scarpa complete the arrangement.

Contemporary Kitchen Design Takes Centre Stage

The store also features the VVD Kitchen, designed by Vincent Van Duysen. It presents a modern interpretation of the brand’s signature finger-recess detail.

Natural materials and clean lines define the kitchen. Meanwhile, Atelier Columns with glass doors add lightness to the design. Together, these elements balance function, warmth and contemporary style.

Nearby, the Mateo Table by the brand sits with Chelsea Chairs, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni. This setting extends the store’s focus on practical furniture and refined interiors.

Sculptural Furniture Defines the Living Areas

A circular arrangement centred on the Augusto Modular Sofa and Fonte Small Tables, both designed by Vincent Van Duysen, creates a focal point in the store.

The Continuum Armchair from the Heritage Collection adds another design element. In a nearby corner, the Mateo Circular Table sits with D.151.4 Armchairs by Gio Ponti.

These arrangements show how customers can combine individual pieces to create complete living spaces. They also highlight the brand’s approach to furniture, where form and function work together.

Walk-In Closets and Bedroom Collections

The store’s walk-in closet area features the Gliss Master System with Meridian Glass Doors. Its glass surfaces and clean lines create a modern backdrop.

At the centre, the Baltimora Island, designed by Matteo Nunziati, stands alongside the Eugene Armchair and Fleur Small Table from Christophe Delcourt’s 2025 collection.

The journey continues into the Night Collection. Here, the Theo Bed, designed by Yabu Pushelberg, takes centre stage with the Maylis Small Tables.

A quieter corner features the Aria Desk by Vincent Van Duysen and a Monk Chair. This arrangement offers a dedicated space for work or reading within the bedroom setting.

Finally, the store presents another walk-in closet featuring the Gliss Master System wall unit and modular island. The Cinnamon Armchair, designed by Naoto Fukasawa, sits alongside the Aster Small Table to complete the display.

Molteni&C Strengthens Its Presence in New Zealand

The Molteni&C Auckland flagship store brings together furniture, kitchen designs, bedroom collections and walk-in closet systems in one setting.

Through its partnership with Dawson & Co, the brand continues to build its presence in New Zealand. The new destination also gives visitors an opportunity to explore Italian craftsmanship, contemporary design and furniture collections in an immersive retail environment.
