A new mobile fashion styling game The Fashion League is collaborating with the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, which helps up-and-coming American fashion talent.

September’s New York Fashion Week will mark the launch of Theresia Le Battistini’s free-to-play mobile game from Finfin Play AG. Regardless of size, gender, or skin tone, players may customize, style, and dress their own 3D avatars to participate in fashion challenges and collaborate with others to expand their fashion empire. This game combines fashion, inclusivity, and e-commerce.

The collaboration will begin with a four-week “Fashion Fund” activation that will include game settings, backdrops, and styling challenges inspired by this year’s ten Fashion League finalists. Significant members of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund selection committee will also make appearances as non-player characters to add to the event’s narrative and storyline.
Each finalist will also create a distinctive appearance in the game to advertise their collections. The winner of the 2024 Fashion Fund will be revealed in October and will have access to a special virtual store in the game that will feature more unique catwalk designs.

“Collaborating with Finfin Play on Fashion League allows us to showcase the incredible talent of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund designers in a new and innovative way, reaching a broader audience and engaging with fashion enthusiasts in the gaming community,” said Steven Kolb, chief executive of the CFDA, in a statement.

In honor of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund’s twentieth anniversary, the relationship will continue in 2025. New initiatives will debut in January, and among them will be a special, time-limited event featuring alumni firms that drew inspiration from memorable events in each program’s history.

According to the game developer, there were more than 3.38 billion gamers worldwide in 2023, and they brought in 187.7 billion US dollars in income. Furthermore, more than half of players would make in-game purchases, and players worldwide have spent more than 1 trillion hours playing games—more than on social media.
