The Indusfood platform showcases India’s expanding proficiency in state-of-the-art processing equipment, environmentally friendly packaging options, and novel food ingredients that meet international standards for effectiveness and quality: Prasada Jitin

Today, in Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi, the first edition of Indusfood AgriTech and the fourth edition of Indusfood Manufacturing were launched by Shri Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry. At the inauguration, there were notable visitors, business executives, and international buyers in addition to Shri Mohit Singla, Chairman of TPCI, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of IEML, Smt. Monika Gauba, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Shri Vijay Kumar Gauba, Additional Director General, TPCI.

“As a country primarily focused on agricultural production, India is rapidly evolving into a global hub for value added food products,” stated Shri Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, in his speech. He attributed this development to the numerous beneficial government initiatives implemented throughout India’s food production value chain. As a result, the food processing industry has developed a strong ecosystem of contemporary infrastructure, reliable supply chains, and job creation, serving as an essential link between industry and farm.

“This platform, Indusfood Manufacturing and Indusfood AgriTech highlights India’s growing expertise in cutting edge processing machinery, sustainable packaging solutions, and innovative food ingredients, aligning with global demands of quality and efficiency,” said Shri Prasada in his speech.

The Minister underlined Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s goal of making India the world’s basket, where at least one food item made in India is served at every dinner table worldwide.

By altering supply chains, streamlining logistics, and providing data-driven business insights, artificial intelligence and data analytics may significantly impact the Indian food processing and manufacturing sectors, as Shri Prasada also emphasized.

“Agriculture is the highest contributor of India’s GDP and thus plays an important role in the wellbeing of the nation,” said Shri Mohit Singla, Chairman of TPCI, during the inaugural event. The farm-to-fork concept was created with the idea that it is essential to compile and introduce to the sector all current and future technologies, advances, and collaborations worldwide. Accordingly, the Indusfood chain of three simultaneous but distinct occurrences has built the entire chain of agriculture, manufacture, and finished food.

All attendees were encouraged by Shri Singla to make use of this platform in order to exchange ideas, expertise, and collaborations as well as to expand commercial prospects.

As he wrapped off the inaugural event, Shri Vijay Kumar Gauba, Additional Director General, TPCI, said, “Let us depart with a renewed commitment to advancing the frontiers of food manufacturing and agritech.” By working together, we can build a future that is inclusive, sustainable, and economically advanced.

“What makes Indusfood Manufacturing 2025 unique is its ability to bridge the gap between visionaries, technologists, and other key players,” said Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of the IEML, in his speech. It is a platform where the desire for progress and the passion for excellence come together. This event serves everyone who is promoting both innovation and economic growth, from innovative startups to multinational behemoths.

Dr. Kumar also mentioned in his speech the joint efforts of TPCI and IEML to promote these ground-breaking shows both domestically and internally, as well as at the grassroots level, in order to unite important players, buyers, and exhibitors from the various industries under one roof and open the door for the development of new alliances.

Under the Indusfood umbrella, Indusfood Manufacturing and Indusfood AgriTech operate together. The whole value chain from agricultural and processing to finished food is built with these shows, which are conducted in conjunction with the 8th edition of Indusfood 2025 at the Expo Centre in Greater Noida.
