Milan Fashion Week for the autumn/winter 2023-24 season was held from February 21 to February 27, 2023. The event featured more than 50 catwalk shows from some of the biggest names in the fashion industry, including Giorgio Armani, Prada, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Bottega Veneta, and Diesel among others.

The fashion week kicked off with Fendi’s deconstructed suits, followed by presentations by Bottega Veneta and Gucci. Gucci’s show featured a departure from the brand’s typically eccentric style, instead opting for more practical, and every day wear. Other notable presentations included Prada’s use of blooming flowers in their designs and Diesel’s emphasis on sexiness and skin exposure.

While 2022 saw exceptional growth in the fashion industry, the fashion chamber cautiously predicted a growth of four per cent in 2023, closer to pre-pandemic levels. The event showcased a range of designs, from soft and fluid looks to practical, every day wear and emphasized the use of floral patterns and exposed skin. Milan Fashion Week was the third leg of the month-long catwalk calendar for the autumn/winter 2023-24 season.
