After Sienna Miller anchored the brand’s fall womenswear campaign in September 2023, British retailer Marks & Spencer has collaborated with the actress to launch a summer capsule collection.
The collection, which will be on sale in 30 locations and online on June 6, seeks to “redefine style perceptions and inspire existing and new customers” of Marks & Spencer with summertime items that draw inspiration from festival season and Miller’s personal library.
“We are absolutely delighted to build upon our relationship with Sienna Miller and introduce a design collaboration that is inspired by her own personal wardrobe,” said Maddy Evans, the womenswear director at M&S, in a statement.
“Sienna embodies the modern woman: she is self-assured, capable, and effortlessly stylish. Her distinct sense of style and demeanor wonderfully reflects the ideals of our business. We are sure that by working together, we can provide our clients—both old and new—with inspiring fashion selections for the summer and beyond.
For M&S, Sienna Miller creates the summer collection. The 33-piece M&S X Sienna Miller collection showcases how Miller embraces high/low dressing, which M&S claims is at the core of the collection. It draws inspiration from Miller’s personal style journey and references looks from her own archive, including summer festivals, 70s prints, and her vintage finds.
The actress’s “dress of the season” is a feminine ruffle maxi dress in white and pale blue, a beaded tank dress reminiscent of her Glastonbury look, and a multipurpose sarong that pays homage to a scarf her father gave her.
A khaki utility jacket inspired by a men’s oversized ex-military jacket, a summer blouse with a “lived in feel” and delicate smocked design, and slouchy barrel leg jeans with a contrast side panel and cut-out hem detail are some other essential items. The collection also includes bags, belts, shoes, swimsuits, and accessories. The range of prices is 19.50 to 89 pounds.
“I have always had a genuine love for M&S – it’s a brand that is part of the fabric of British life and holds special associations for so many people,” Miller remarked in response to the collection. It was amazing to see the response to the autumn campaign I led. It made perfect sense to work together on a womenswear design project. I am eager to hear what consumers have to say about the collection.
