On May 12, 2023, Helsinki’s Esplanade Park will play a home to the annual public open-air fashion show and launch of Marimekko, a Finnish design company. For the occasion, in-store activities will be held all over Finland.On Marimekko Day, which marks the beginning of summer, beautiful summer clothing will be on display.
The strength of optimism is reflected in Marimekko’s ideology in the Spring/Summer 2023 collection. Marimekko has archetypal forms embellished throughout the collection with vivid primary colors and almost watercolor-like tones in floral designs from various decades. According to a press statement from the firm, this year’s fashion show will include Marimekko community members who were founding through an open casting.
