Malabar Gold & Diamonds Makes Historic Entry into Canada with Mississauga Store

Malabar Gold and Diamonds has made a historic entry into the Canadian market, becoming the first Indian jewelry brand to establish its presence in the country. The inauguration of the new store in Mississauga at Heartland Town Centre, Greater Toronto Area, is a significant achievement for Malabar Gold & Diamonds, marking its 12th country globally and the second in North America. The virtual inauguration, led by M.P Ahammed, Chairman of Malabar Group, and ribbon-cutting by Nina Tangri, Associate Minister of Business for Ontario, celebrated this momentous occasion and underscored the brand’s extensive global reach.

Chairman M.P. Ahammed expressed immense pride, acknowledging the collective effort of customers, shareholders, and stakeholders in achieving this historic milestone. The sprawling 7,800+ sq. Ft. Store now stands as the largest jewelry store in Canada, showcasing over 30,000 designs across 25 exclusive brands and collections in gold, diamond, and precious gem jewelry. The diverse collection caters to various preferences, including bridal wear, occasional wear, daily wear, and office wear.

Shamlal Ahamed, Managing Director of International Operations, emphasized the strategic importance of the North American market, outlining ambitious expansion plans in both Canada and the USA. The new store introduces a custom jewelry designing facility, allowing customers to collaborate with expert designers and craftsmen. Additionally, it features a luxurious customer lounge area, enhancing the overall shopping experience.

Abdul Salam K.P., Vice Chairman of Malabar Group, highlighted the brand’s commitment to showcasing Indian-made jewelry globally. The expansion plan entails strengthening retail presence in existing regions through new store openings and exploring entry into new territories.
