Malabar Gold and Diamonds, a prominent global jeweller with 335 stores across 12 countries, has solidified its commitment to ethical business practices by partnering with Rand Refinery, a leading gold and silver refiner. This strategic collaboration aims to procure 100 percent traceable ‘RandPure’ gold, emphasizing the brand’s dedication to responsible sourcing in the retail industry.

Shamlal Ahamed, MD – International Operations at Malabar Gold and Diamonds, received the initial shipment of ‘RandPure’ gold from Praveen Baijnath, CEO of Rand Refinery, in the presence of Dean Subramanian, CFO of Rand Refinery, and other senior officials from both companies.

Rand Refinery, recognized by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), is renowned for its commitment to producing 100 percent traceable and certified ‘RandPure’ Gold. Sourced ethically from Securities Exchange-listed mines, each batch undergoes a meticulous process, resulting in gold marked with a unique ‘RandPure’ seal. Additionally, customers receive a ‘Certificate of Assurance,’ detailing essential information about the gold’s origin, mining period, and conflict-free nature.

Chairman M.P Ahammed emphasized Malabar Gold and Diamonds’ focus on sustainability and ethical practices, highlighting the importance of their partnership with Rand Refinery in sourcing gold that meets stringent industry standards.

Since its inception in 1993, Malabar Group has prioritized Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. They allocate 5 percent of net profits to such endeavors in each country of operation, aligning with their commitment to responsible business practices.
