Mahesh Notandass Jewellers and Vandals Join Sotheby’s for an Alpine Evening of Mindful Living and Exceptional Jewellery
Mahesh Notandass Jewellers and Vandals are joining Sotheby’s Switzerland and wellness curator Somya Khurana for an exclusive evening that brings together mindful living, conscious reflection and exceptional jewellery craftsmanship in the Swiss Alps.
Set against the tranquil surroundings of the Col de la Croix mountain pass, the gathering will take place at the historic Chalet Roy Alps Domaine de Rochegrosse in Villars-sur-Ollon. The location has been carefully selected for its peaceful atmosphere, elevated setting and separation from the pace of everyday life.
The evening will begin with a specially curated wellbeing experience led by Somya Khurana, focusing on mindfulness and conscious reflection. Guests will be invited to pause, reconnect and be fully present before discovering the evening’s jewellery showcase.
For more than a century, Mahesh Notandass Diamond Jewellers has built a reputation for exceptional gemstones, meticulous craftsmanship and timeless design. Its creations are conceived as heirloom pieces, combining rare stones with craftsmanship intended to transcend changing trends.
The private presentation will feature a carefully selected edit of creations from Mahesh Notandass and Vandals, offering guests an opportunity to experience some of the houses’ most distinctive jewellery works. The collection reflects a longstanding commitment to exceptional gemstones, precision and artistic craftsmanship.
Among the evening’s key highlights will be two extraordinary jewellery artworks. The first is a sculptural glove crafted with more than 600 emeralds and diamonds, while the second is an intricately designed scarf featuring over 300 natural emeralds and more than 1,300 diamonds.
Designed as wearable works of art, both creations demonstrate the houses’ ambitious approach to scale, craftsmanship and the use of precious gemstones. Their intricate construction challenges conventional perceptions of jewellery, creating a connection between fine jewellery, fashion and collectible art.
Presented in partnership with Sotheby’s Switzerland, the gathering reflects a shared approach to contemporary luxury that places meaning, craftsmanship and experience ahead of overt display. By bringing together mindful living and extraordinary jewellery in an intimate alpine setting, the event highlights a vision of luxury rooted in sophistication, individuality and substance.
The setting and the jewellery together create an experience where rarity is expressed not only through exceptional gemstones, but also through the sense of stillness and exclusivity surrounding their presentation.
