This interesting initiative, which aims to create awareness about sustainable and ethical fashion choices, will take place at Fahrenheit88’s Atrium in Bukit Bintang from now until 7th July 2024. After a fruitful first partnership last year, NanoTextile and Fahrenheit88 are collaborating once more.
With the goal of supporting sustainable practices in the textile sector, NanoTextile is committed to providing a wide range of functionality. Live Cool, Live Green 2.0 is a component of nanotextile360㵒, NanoTextile’s wider effort, which is ideally matched with this relationship and provides a forum for enlightening and motivating the public to adopt a more environmentally friendly approach to fashion.

The hanging cloths that were on show for this event’s theme represent the life cycle of a piece of cloth, from its manufacture to its eventual disposal as a result of rapid fashion and subpar materials. With this display, NanoTextile hopes to inspire participants to take concrete measures towards a cleaner future while educating them about the fashion industry’s environmental impact.

From June 29 to June 30, 2024, a Sustainable Cafe is held as part of the exciting programming for the event. Along with a coffee shop where patrons may unwind and encourage sustainable behaviours, this café offers engaging activities like seminars on producing fabric, DIY accessory workshops, and even learning how to fix your clothes with Sepang Vocasional College students.
Additionally, from June 29th to July 7th, 2024, attendees have the opportunity to participate in a Color Analysis Station, led by Fika Hyder’s expert colour analysis, where they will gain insights into selecting colours that complement with their skin tones, fostering conscious buying habits and promoting individual style expression. Throughout the two weeks of the event, there is a Fashion Documentary Screening that takes the attendees on a journey through the captivating world of fashion.
A notable highlight of Live Cool, Live Green 2.0 is the Fashion Revolution Flash Mob, scheduled for June 29th, 2024. Let’s join the movement! Students from The Design School at Taylor’s University, Sepang Vocational College and others will showcase their sustainable fashion designs in a dynamic runway and flashmob presentation. Show your support and express your love for fashion by joining the flashmob! Wear something inspired by themes such as ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, Renaissance, Victorian era, roaring twenties, swinging sixties, punk era, or contemporary fashion. In addition to the aforementioned activities, Live Cool, Live Green 2.0 is featuring a contest, inviting attendees to capture a stylish selfie or mirror selfie within the exhibitions. Participants are encouraged to share their entries on Instagram, tagging @nanotextile, @livecool.livegreen and @fahrenheit88 for consideration. The winner will be announced at the culmination of Live Cool, Live Green 2.0 Event on July 7th, 2024.
