Lindström India, the 100% subsidiary of Finland headquartered Lindström Oy, a global textile rental company providing workwear, cleanroom workwear, and mat services, has said that it is completely in line with Lindström’s global science-based climate targets in India as well.

Science-based target initiative (SBTi) defines and promotes best practices in emissions reductions and net-zero targets in line with climate science. The global community has committed to limiting global warming to 1.5 °C to avoid catastrophic climate change. Asia too has shown strong growth overall with a 127% increase in companies setting a science-based target in 2022. The SBTi assists companies in setting and attaining ambitious emission reduction targets based on the latest climate science.

Jayant Roy, Managing Director of Lindström India said, “Our focus is on sustainability and the global team has coordinated the extensive calculations and process with the SBTi and we in India believe that this only highlights Lindström’s resolve in reducing global greenhouse gas emissions and work for a sustainable environment”.
