Scoring 83/100, Lindström leads sustainable innovation globally, with regional strides in India

With the EcoVadis Platinum Medal, the international textile rental service provider Lindström Group is ranked in the top 1% of more than 130,000 businesses globally for sustainability. The honor is a testament to Lindström’s dedication to incorporating sustainable practices into its supply chain and worldwide operations.

Leading sustainability rating company EcoVadis evaluated Lindström based on 21 standards in four domains: sustainable procurement, ethics, labor and human rights, and the environment. With exceptional performance in Environmental Practices (90/100) and solid outcomes in the other areas, Lindström achieved an outstanding score of 83/100.

“This accomplishment is the outcome of a team effort,” stated Inari Laveri, Lindström’s Climate and Compliance Manager. “Our staff members have enthusiastically engaged in training sessions, and our project team has put forth endless effort to improve our rules, procedures, and reporting. Over the past five years, EcoVadis’ input has been extremely helpful in identifying areas that require improvement and creating development plans that work.

Recent improvements to Lindström’s HR systems have increased staff training and monitoring. In 2024, over 10,000 hours were devoted to health and safety workshops, and 92% of staff members finished Code of Conduct training.

While tackling regional issues, Lindström India coordinates its efforts with the organization’s worldwide sustainability objectives.

The managing director of Lindström India, Jayanth Roy, stated, “This international recognition strengthens our resolve to advance sustainable solutions in India.” “We are actively supporting regional and global environmental goals by collaborating with local recyclers and streamlining washing procedures. Our goal is to continue recycling all textile waste in the upcoming years.

“India offers unique opportunities for innovation,” he continued. By blending global expertise with local strategies, we aspire to set new benchmarks in responsible business practices.”

The goals of Lindström’s circular economy strategy are waste reduction and resource optimization. In India, the firm has accomplished the remarkable feat of recycling all textile waste. Its commitment to environmental management is further demonstrated by certifications such as ISO 14001.
