Lenzing Launches REMOD Denim Collection at Kingpins Amsterdam

Lenzing and Kaihara Corporation introduce the REMOD Collection, while the TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 network expands to nearly 50 mills across 13 countries.

Lenzing Group has partnered with Japanese denim manufacturer Kaihara Corporation to launch the new REMOD Collection. The range features three fibre innovations: TENCEL™ Lyocell Standard, TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 and TENCEL™ Lyocell dtex 2.2.

The collection will be displayed at Lenzing’s booth 19 in the yellow zone at Kingpins Amsterdam on 14 and 15 October 2026. Visitors can discover new denim textures, fabric blends and design ideas.

REMOD Collection Explores New Denim Textures

Woven at Kaihara Corporation’s integrated mill in Hiroshima, Japan, the REMOD Collection combines traditional denim craftsmanship with new fibre technology. As a result, it offers varied textures, greater comfort and distinctive fabric finishes.

The range includes heavyweight men’s jackets, wide-leg jeans, stretch denim and cotton-free casual shirts. In addition, different fibre blends allow designers to create varied fabrics while keeping denim’s authentic look and feel.

Each TENCEL™ Lyocell fibre adds its own qualities to the collection.

  • TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100: This fibre offers a cotton-inspired look, a matte finish and natural surface variations.
  • TENCEL™ Lyocell dtex 2.2: With a linen-inspired texture, this fibre provides a drier feel and added structure.
  • TENCEL™ Lyocell Standard: This fibre brings softness, fluid drape and rich colour depth.

Together, these fibres give denim makers and designers more ways to develop distinctive fabrics.

Dennis Hui, Global Business Development Manager, Denim at Lenzing, said the partnership with Kaihara builds on a relationship that began in the 1990s. He explained that the new collection explores the unique qualities of each fibre across different denim applications.

Similarly, Akihiro Maehara, Director, Market Planning Division at Kaihara Corporation, highlighted the role of texture in premium denim. According to Maehara, the collaboration combines Japanese manufacturing expertise with new fibre options to improve softness, drape and comfort.

TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 Network Expands into India

Alongside the collection launch, Lenzing announced the third group of mill partners for TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100. The announcement also marks the fibre’s first anniversary.

Initially launched at Kingpins Amsterdam in October 2025, the network included 17 mills across five countries. By April 2026, it had grown to 37 mills across nine countries. Now, nearly 50 mills across 13 countries are part of the network.

Notably, India has joined the programme for the first time. The new Indian partners include LNJ, Signet, Anubha and Bhaskar. Their participation strengthens India’s role in the global denim supply chain.

Other partners in the latest group include Nien Hsing, Discovery, Advance, Foison, Vicunha, NDM and Rajby. Together, these mills bring new manufacturing skills and ideas to denim development.

Supporting More Efficient Denim Production

TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 works with existing mill equipment and production processes. Therefore, manufacturers can expand their fibre options without investing in additional machinery.

The fibre also uses existing processing steps and chemicals. This makes it easier for mills to test new fabric blends while keeping their current production systems.

According to Lenzing, TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 offers at least 50% lower carbon emissions and water consumption than generic lyocell. In addition, its wood sources are FSC®- or PEFC-certified or controlled. The closed-loop production process also achieves more than 99.8% solvent recovery.

Tuncay Kılıçkan, Head of Global Business Development, Denim at Lenzing, highlighted the need for reliable materials in denim production. He noted that brands plan collections months in advance and need confidence in material supply, processing and performance.

As the mill network grows, brands gain access to more sourcing options. Consequently, they can explore new fabric designs while maintaining consistency across their collections.

Lenzing Advances Denim Fibre Innovation

The REMOD Collection reflects Lenzing’s focus on new fibres and industry partnerships. Through its work with Kaihara Corporation, the company is exploring ways to combine authentic denim looks with comfort and distinctive textures.

At the same time, the growing TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 network gives mills and brands more opportunities to develop innovative denim fabrics. The addition of Indian mills further expands the programme’s global reach.

Visitors can explore the REMOD Collection and other fibre innovations at Lenzing’s booth 19 in the yellow zone at Kingpins Amsterdam on 14 and 15 October 2026.
