Khadim India Gears Up for Growth: Plans to Add 70-80 New Stores in 2024 and Expands E-commerce Reach

Khadim India Limited’s commitment to expanding its retail footprint is evident as the brand continues to strengthen its presence across key markets in the country. Rittick Roy Burman, the whole-time director, shared in an interview with Images Retail, “Our retail store network strength is increasing with new store openings in different key markets in the country.” Currently boasting 848 stores in India, Khadim India has ambitious plans to add 70 to 80 more stores in the upcoming financial year of 2024.

Recognizing the significance of e-commerce in meeting evolving consumer demands, Khadim India has recently enhanced its online capabilities, aligning with the surge in festive demand. The brand strategically retails its products on various multi-brand platforms, including Flipkart, Myntra, and Amazon India, in addition to operating its direct-to-customer e-commerce store. This omnichannel approach ensures that Khadim India reaches a diverse customer base across both online and offline channels.In October, Khadim India celebrated the opening of new stores in locations such as Yavatmal, South Delhi’s Kalkaji, Abhayapuri, Belonia, and Tangla, as announced on their official Facebook page. This expansion reinforces the brand’s commitment to reaching and serving customers across diverse regions in India.

Khadim India not only offers its own brand value footwear but also manages various sub-brands, including Cleo, British Walkers, Lazard, Turk, Sharon, Bonito, and Pro. Originating in the 1960s in Kolkata, Khadim India achieved the milestone of being listed on India’s stock exchanges in 2017.Highlighting the role of technology in the footwear industry, Burman emphasized, “Technology has contributed a lot in footwear manufacturing.” In the current landscape, comfort stands as the primary criterion influencing footwear purchase decisions, particularly for closed footwear. The deployment of new technologies has played a pivotal role in crafting comfortable pairs, aligning with evolving consumer preferences in the footwear market. Khadim India’s continuous expansion, both in physical stores and online platforms, reflects its adaptability to market trends and commitment to providing quality and comfort to consumers.
