Joanie Clothing has partnered with the 1970s brand Bus Stop for a design collaboration, presenting a 14-piece collection. The Bus Stop x Joanie range includes sustainably-made retro styles such as dresses, jumpsuits, and co-ords inspired by original ‘Lee Bender at Bus Stop’ designs. The collection features sustainable materials like Livaeco viscose or organic cotton, showcasing some of Bus Stop’s most iconic prints.

The Camden, a knee-skimming mod-style dress, is part of the collection based on sought-after Lee Bender at Bus Stop micro mini originals. Lee Bender collaborated with the Joanie design team before passing away at the beginning of 2023. The collection pays homage to Bus Stop’s iconic 1970s style, dressing celebrities like Charlotte Rampling, Joan Collins, Joanna Lumley, Debbie Harry, Jerry Hall, and Barbara Bach.

Brand Manager Lucy Gledhill expressed admiration for Lee Bender’s work, noting that Bus Stop epitomized the spirit of seventies London and dressed a who’s who of fabulous 1970s style. Founded in 1969 by Lee and Cecil Bender, the Lee Bender at Bus Stop label left a significant mark on 1970s fashion.
