During Paris Haute Couture Week, Janhvi Kapoor made her runway debut on a global scale by walking for famous designer Rahul Mishra. She demonstrated her skills and became the couturier’s inspiration. During the interaction, she described a “meditative zen-like vibration in the room” as well.

Janhvi dazzled in a glittering mermaid-style ensemble from Mishra’s Couture Fall 2024 line named Aura, as she shared a mishmash of pictures from her stroll on Instagram. “A first thank you @rahulmishra_7 for having me as a part of your spectacular show that encapsulated energies and auras so beautifully,” Janhvi wrote beside the pictures.

“Your show had a contagious, meditative, zen-like vibration that permeated the entire space, feeling like a welcome diversion from the hectic, yet exciting, chaos of Paris Couture Week.”

The silhouette featured a holographic mermaid-style skirt, a dazzling embroidered skirt with a dramatic train, and a black bustier with elaborate decorations. Her look was completed with soft, flowing hair and dewy makeup.

The actress went on, “This was a perfect first because of the slow, soulful music, the patiently gliding models in your elaborate outfits, and most importantly, because of you and your family and team’s sincerity, simplicity, unadulterated creativity, and passion.”

Mishra made history in 2020 when she was the first Indian designer to present in Paris Haute Couture Week. He was given the distinguished International Woolmark Prize in 2014 during Milan Fashion Week, making history as the first Indian designer to receive the honor. Three E’s inform the award-winning couture brand’s design philosophy: Empowerment, Employment, and Environment.
