Jaisalmer Crafted Bar Collectibles and Samant Chauhan Bring Indian Craft Heritage to Lakmē Fashion Week

An exploration of Indian botanicals and Bhagalpur silk, with a Crafted Bar and special collectibles celebrating craft, culture and design

Jaisalmer Crafted Bar Collectibles brings Indian craft spirits and contemporary fashion together through a collaboration with designer Samant Chauhan at Lakmē Fashion Week x FDCI, taking place from 13 to 18 October 2026 at Taj Palace, New Delhi.

The showcase will feature a Crafted Bar and a series of special collectibles. Together, they celebrate the connection between Indian craftsmanship and modern design.

At the heart of the collaboration is a shared belief that craft is more than a technique. It carries the memory of a place, the skill of its makers and the scope for new ideas.

Samant Chauhan has spent years working with Bhagalpur silk and its weaving traditions. He brings the textile into modern fashion through timeless silhouettes and contemporary design. Jaisalmer Crafted Bar Collectibles follows a similar craft-led approach. Its story begins with Indian botanicals and a gin-making process shaped by traditional distillation.

Together, the collaboration brings the botanical and the textile, the bar and the runway, into one creative space.

Celebrating Bhagalpur Silk and Indian Craft

Samant Chauhan has maintained a strong connection with Bhagalpur silk and the weaving communities behind it. Since founding his label in 2006, he has explored new ways to present the region’s handloom traditions.

His work brings the textures and craft of Bhagalpur silk into modern silhouettes. The collaboration with Jaisalmer Crafted Bar Collectibles takes this idea beyond apparel.

Through special collectibles and the Crafted Bar experience, the partnership explores how India’s craft traditions can find new meaning in contemporary luxury.

Indian Botanicals Meet Contemporary Gin-Making

Jaisalmer Crafted Bar Collectibles also reflects a strong craft-led identity. The spirit uses a blend of 11 botanicals, with seven sourced from across India.

These include Darjeeling green tea, lemongrass and cubeb pepper. The spirit uses triple-distilled neutral grain spirit and undergoes re-distillation in traditional copper pot stills.

Jaisalmer Crafted Bar Collectibles is available in around 40 countries. It brings Indian ingredients and a contemporary approach to gin-making to an international audience.

Kunal Madan, Chief Marketing Officer, Radico Khaitan, said “At Jaisalmer, we see Indian craftsmanship as a source of inspiration for creating contemporary luxury experiences. Our collaboration with Samant Chauhan brings together two worlds that share a deep appreciation for detail, provenance and the stories behind what we create. Through initiatives like this, we are exploring how Jaisalmer Crafted Bar Collectibles can connect with consumers beyond the product itself, building meaningful associations with India’s rich cultural and creative landscape.”

Samant Chauhan said “Bhagalpur silk represents a living tradition, sustained by the knowledge and skill of its weaving communities. For me, the opportunity has always been to take this heritage forward without losing sight of its origins. The collaboration with Jaisalmer Crafted Bar Collectibles is an interesting coming together of craft and contemporary design, creating a new context in which Indian craftsmanship can be experienced and appreciated.”

Craft Takes Centre Stage at Lakmē Fashion Week x FDCI

At Lakmē Fashion Week x FDCI, Jaisalmer Crafted Bar Collectibles will offer guests a curated cocktail experience. The special collectibles will also bring the collaboration’s design language to life.

The partnership puts Indian craft at the centre of a wider conversation around modern luxury. It highlights the importance of provenance, process, materials and the people who keep traditional skills alive.

The collaboration shows how India’s craft heritage can move into new spaces while staying connected to its roots.
