The main ownership of Florentine leather goods manufacturer Frassineti has been acquired by Italian fashion and leisure brand OTB Group. For the OTB Group’s Jil Sander brand, Frassineti already provides upscale items.
The purchase was undertaken through OTB’s affiliate Staff International, and the investment’s goals are to maximise Italian workmanship and advance a more environmentally friendly supply chain. According to a corporate post on LinkedIn, the action is a part of OTB’s commitment to preserve and transmit Made in Italy savoir-faire to future generations.
The OTB Group will help the brand in its transition to a more sustainable business model by offering technology know-how and experience in sustainability, while Gaia Frassineti will remain in her position as managing director of Frassineti.
The luxury division of our group’s brands all place a high priority on the craftsmanship of their goods and the use of premium raw materials, which is only made possible through partnerships with businesses like Frassineti, which make the Italian and global fashion supply chain distinctive.
We must keep investing in them because these businesses and this knowledge are what drive our nation, according to Renzo Rosso, chairman and founder of OTB Group.
