ISH 2027 Highlights Smart Hospitality Solutions for the Future
The hospitality industry is increasingly balancing guest comfort with energy efficiency, sustainability and operational performance. At ISH 2027, taking place from 15 to 19 March 2027, industry professionals will explore how intelligent building technologies can help shape the hotels and resorts of tomorrow.
The world’s leading trade fair for HVAC + Water will showcase solutions designed to support every stage of hotel development, from planning and construction to modernisation and long-term operation. The focus will be on creating hospitality environments that deliver comfort and flexibility while controlling energy use, operating costs and CO₂ emissions.
Hotels rely on complex technical infrastructure across guest rooms, restaurants, conference facilities, laundries and wellness areas. ISH 2027 will demonstrate how integrated systems for water, heating, cooling, ventilation and building automation can work together to meet these diverse requirements.
Smart Bathroom Solutions for Better Guest Experiences
The bathroom remains a key element of the hotel experience, with design, hygiene, lighting, sanitaryware and water efficiency all influencing guest satisfaction.
The Bathrooms solution field in Halls 3, 4.1 and 4.2 will present solutions ranging from water-saving fittings and level-access showers to intelligent functions. Prefabricated installation systems and bathroom modules will also highlight opportunities to shorten construction timelines, maintain quality and simplify future maintenance.
The “Pop up my Bathroom – Solution Spaces” special show will further demonstrate how design and technology can be integrated into hotel bathrooms and wellness environments.
Efficient Wellness and Spa Infrastructure
Wellness facilities such as pools, saunas, steam rooms and experience showers are becoming important differentiators for hotels. Their efficient operation requires coordinated water treatment, ventilation, dehumidification and other technical systems.
The Pools & Spas area in Hall 3.0 will cover approximately 1,000 square metres, showcasing solutions that combine guest comfort, hygiene, water efficiency and energy performance.
Water Management and Hygiene
Hotels must maintain safe and reliable water supplies despite fluctuating occupancy. Long pipe runs and temporarily vacant rooms can create additional challenges for water temperature management and hygiene.
The Water-bearing Systems solution field in Halls 4.0 and 5.0 will showcase piping, water treatment, circulation and digital water management technologies. Continuous monitoring can help operators track consumption, identify irregularities and support preventive maintenance, while water-saving fittings and alternative water sources can contribute to reduced consumption.
Heating, Cooling and Indoor Air Quality
Hotel buildings often require simultaneous heating and cooling across different zones, including guest rooms, kitchens, public spaces and spas. ISH 2027 will highlight heat recovery, heat pumps, renewable and hybrid heating systems, thermal storage and heating networks designed to improve energy performance.
The Indoor Air solution field in Halls 8 and 10.1 will feature ventilation, filtration, heat recovery, cooling and dehumidification technologies. Compact and low-noise systems will be particularly relevant for hotel refurbishment projects where space and installation flexibility are critical.
Intelligent Building Management
Connected building systems can improve efficiency by responding to occupancy, energy demand and maintenance requirements. Linking property management systems with building automation can allow unused rooms to move into energy-saving modes and automatically return to comfortable conditions before guests arrive.
The Intelligent Building Management solution field in Hall 11.1 will showcase building automation, energy management, IoT applications and digital maintenance solutions. These technologies can also provide transparent consumption data to support ESG strategies, sustainability reporting and certification requirements.
Hospitality Day at ISH 2027
A dedicated Hospitality Day will take place on 18 March 2027, bringing together professionals from hotel development, architecture, planning, investment and operations. The programme will include a specialist conference at Messe Frankfurt’s Congress Center, followed by a guided tour of selected exhibitors.
Through its hospitality-focused programme, ISH 2027 will demonstrate how intelligent building technologies can help the hotel industry create more comfortable, sustainable and operationally efficient properties.
