As Sri Lanka aims to achieve US$8 billion in apparel exports by 2030, the country is preparing to host the latest editions of Intex – The Premier International Textile Sourcing Show and InMac – Smart Technology & Innovation in Gar-Tex Machinery. The co-located exhibitions will take place from 5 to 7 August 2026 at the BMICH, Colombo, bringing together global textile sourcing and garment manufacturing technology on a single platform.
The combined event will feature more than 300 exhibitors from over 15 countries and regions, offering a comprehensive showcase of the textile and apparel value chain. Intex Sri Lanka will present innovations in fibres, yarns, fabrics, trims, accessories and sustainable materials, creating sourcing opportunities for manufacturers and buyers from South Asia, ASEAN, Europe and the Middle East.
Running alongside Intex, InMac Sri Lanka will focus on advanced garment manufacturing technologies, with leading machinery companies showcasing next-generation sewing, cutting, digital printing and sustainable finishing solutions designed to support automation and smart manufacturing.
“Our largest China Pavilion and strong Indian participation reflect deep global confidence in Sri Lanka,” says Mrs. Arti Bhagat, Executive Director of Worldex India. “By integrating global raw materials with advanced machinery, Intex and InMac provide the definitive blueprint to power Sri Lanka’s 2030 export vision.”
