The Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre (Futian) served as the apparel textile industry’s sourcing hub for the period of June 5–7, 2024. There were about a thousand exhibitors showcasing products linked to clothing from eleven different nations and regions. The main categories included accessories, utilitarian wear, and ladieswear. Nearly 20,000 visitors from 45 countries and regions, including two buyer delegations from Malaysia and one from the European American Chamber of Commerce & Industry, were welcomed by Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics and Yarn Expo Shenzhen 2024 together.
“The fair has been very effective for international and domestic suppliers to showcase their innovations to the South China market; likewise, we have had a very strong response from ASEAN-based buyers and brands seeking on-trend products in between two traditional sourcing seasons,” stated Ms. Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd., in a closing remarks to the show. As the event’s organisers, we’re ecstatic to have provided a trading platform that is business-friendly for participants from all points along the value chain and offered specialists a platform to share their knowledge on a variety of cutting-edge industry subjects.
Topics varied from the revolutionary impact of AI on the textile landscape to emerging fashion trends for both S/S 2025–26 and A/W 2025–26, providing buyers with essential product and industry information at Talking Point and Textile Dialogue, Intertextile Shenzhen’s two seminar settings. Key international sourcing brands such as Club Monaco, Diesel, lululemon, Ralph Lauren, Quiksilver, ZARA, and many more were present over the three days of information sharing and trading.
Three international buyer delegations, comprising representatives from the Malaysia Knitting Manufacturers Association, the Malaysian Garment Marketers Association, and the EA Chamber representing six countries, interacted with the exhibitors. Twelve domestic delegations, including the Guangdong Garment & Apparel Industry Association Buyer Group, the Shenzhen Jinhui Nanyou Fashion Creative Centre Visiting Group, and the China Top 10 Designers, attended the fair, some of them travelling from as far away as 50 miles.
Over 250 business matching meetings with exhibitors—including individual companies and different delegates—took place over the three-day event. Twenty designers and managers from Shenzhen, representing companies including DAQINGLIU, CHICCOMAO, DiLiUnbound, and Yishangshi, were among the buyers. Numerous more domestic brand buyers attended the early summer exhibition, representing brands such as Annil, Dayang, and Marisfrolg.
On the show floor, the Spring / Summer 2025-26 Trend Forum by Fabrics China gave buyers a visual anchor for future vogues. Meanwhile, the Sustainability Zone provided insights into different brands’ applications of sustainability policies, as did the debut of featured display zones Eco Trends by Intertextile x Sateri and Functional Sustainability by Intertextile x Idole.
The early summer textile platform also included the Japan Zone, with exhibitors displaying accessories, cotton and man-made fabrics for menswear, ladieswear and sportswear; the Korea Pavilion, featuring jacquard, mixed woven, and more; and the Taiwan Pavilion, with a focus on high-quality lace, embroidery and yarn. Whether sourcing or showcasing, a range of exhibitors, visitors, and speakers offered positive assessments.
