Beijing, June 18, 2024. Amidst the swift assimilation of novel technologies by the corporate world and the dynamic environmental terrain, stakeholders in the broader textile sector are assiduously exploring inventive resolutions for diverse sourcing, production, and sales requirements. The organisers have announced the launch of the Digital Solutions Zone at Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics—Autumn Edition 2024, which will take place from August 27–29 at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre, in an effort to better meet this requirement. In keeping with the fair’s 30th anniversary, exhibitors specialising in solutions like digital product passports, additive manufacturing, big data analytics, generative AI, personalised production, production technologies, virtual reality, wearable technologies, and more will have a dedicated platform in this zone.

“We are only beginning to understand the changes new technology will bring to the textile sector, but it’s clear there is huge potential in design, personalisation, production, sustainability, traceability, and more,” said Ms. Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. The Digital Solutions Zone will enable our exhibitors and guests to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the digital revolution. Intertextile Apparel takes pride in offering the appropriate platforms within the show to satisfy the needs of the market. We have continuously offered instruction on this subject through our fringe programme and given numerous of these exhibitors a stage, but we have been anxious to broaden and focus this offering into a specific zone.

Innovations such as eco-design, product passports, and sustainable solutions for production are in high demand in China as EU regulations target the entire supply chain. Set to provide a unique opportunity for start-ups and emerging technology companies with potential textile industry applications, at the upcoming Autumn Edition the new zone will put these companies in front of thousands of international and domestic manufacturers looking to gain a technological edge in a competitive market. A unique, open booth design will help to facilitate discussions, while exhibitors will also be able to deliver seminars or product presentations for added engagement.
