The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Daman Campus organized a workshop on VisioNxt, a cutting-edge fashion forecasting initiative, for textile design and fashion management students. The event saw participation from 80 students, who gained valuable insights into the latest trends and technologies shaping the fashion industry.

VisioNxt, an AI and EI-based trend forecasting platform, aims to promote Indian culture and design globally, fostering healthy competition and elevating the country’s position in the international fashion landscape.

During the inaugural launch of VisionNxt in Delhi, the Prime Minister had emphasized India’s shift towards becoming a global fashion leader, stating that the country will now set trends rather than follow them. “So far, we have been listening to outsiders on what to wear. Now, it is time to tell the world what to wear using VisioNxt,” he had declared.

The workshop was led by VisioNxt Head, Prof. Kaustav Sen Gupta, who shared his expertise on the application of AI and EI in fashion forecasting. Campus Director, Dr. Brijesh Deore, lauded the effort, highlighting the potential of VisioNxt to revolutionize the Indian fashion industry.
