4 November 2024, Shanghai. The busiest time of year for sourcing textiles from China is March. The upcoming Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, which will take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from March 11–13, 2025, is expected to add to the time frame. The forthcoming event will build on the success of the 2024 show, which attracted over 23,700 customers from 56 countries and regions and had 339 exhibitors from seven nations and areas. Next year’s expo will once again include eco-friendly materials and cutting-edge technologies, expanding on the premium, useful, and sustainable home textiles that have become popular trends in the market today.

“The fair is well-known for its extensive range of products, and has the potential to meet some buyers’ yearly sourcing requirements,” says Ms. Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, who is excited for the 2025 Spring Edition. The 2024 show demonstrates how well it adapts to the changing tastes of Chinese customers. This trend is likely to pick up even more traction at the spring fair the following year, since the market is exhibiting positive indicators and a solid lineup of exhibitors is anticipated.

The worldwide home textile market was valued at USD 133 billion in 2023 and is expected to reach USD 189 billion by 2029, despite a recent slowdown across industries [1]. The advent of eco-friendly home textiles, technological advancements, and a growing interest in multipurpose and smart house textiles are some of the key trends anticipated to propel market growth; many of these alternatives will be on display at the next event.

Providing a wide range of products to meet consumer demand during China’s busiest sourcing season

Customers are being offered more and more sophisticated and culturally diverse options for their homes as the textile industry continues to innovate internationally. Players in the sector are actively looking for ways to work together in order to further incorporate these advances into their operations. “We are here to find potential partners who have been innovating in the fabric industry, particularly with sustainable and high-performance textile products,” said Mr. Jorge Barros, Founder and CEO of Graphene X, who was sourcing at the previous edition. Even though this is our first time at the exhibition, we are immediately pleased with the caliber and knowledge of the exhibitors, as well as their dedication to lessening the environmental effect of high-performance textiles.

In addition to these trends, the next Spring Edition will feature a broad variety of home textile products, such as carpets, table and kitchen linens, bedding and towels, textile design, and home textile technology. As exhibitor Ms. Helen Qian, Business Manager of Changshu Xinghan Hometextiles Co Ltd, said at the 2024 show: “This fair is a large event with a diverse array of home textile fabrics,” these wide offerings emphasize the prospects at the fair. We may collaborate and communicate face-to-face with other professionals in the field by attending this fair. We also extend an invitation to our current clients to improve business interactions. To bring the industry together, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles is conducted in conjunction with Intertextile Apparel and Yarn Expo.

The China Home Textile Association (CHTA), the Sub-Council of Textile Industry (CCPIT), and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. are the organizers of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition 2025.
