Turkish Statistical Institute (Turkstat) reports that in June, Turkiye’s seasonally adjusted confidence index for the retail trade sector decreased. In June, the index decreased by 2.6%, from 111.7 in May to 108.8.
Several important indicators also showed reductions, in addition to the overall confidence index. After declining by 7.7 percent in the previous month, the business activity-sales index during the preceding three months experienced a minor loss of 1.4%, falling from 125.4 in May to 123.7 in June.
The stock index’s current volume also decreased, declining 3.4% from 92.2 in May to 89.1 in June, which reversed a 2.9% increase seen in May. Additionally, according to Turkstat, the business activity-sales expectation index for the following three months fell by 3.3%, from 117.4 in May to 113.5 in June.
