A senior business officer from Levis, a California-based clothing retailer, announced on social media on Thursday that the company has opened a store on Banani Road in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The 2270 square foot store features the 501 jeans as well as the newest distinctive clothing and accessories from Levi’s for both men and women.
“I’m excited to share the launch of our first Levi’s store in Dhaka, Bangladesh,” posted Amisha Jain, SVP, Levi Strauss & Co., South Asia, Middle East, Africa, Non-EU, on LinkedIn along with images of the establishment. The expansion is crucial because it demonstrates the brand’s dedication to its direct-to-consumer strategy and takes advantage of the market opportunity in the nation, which is being driven by a thriving consumer base and rapid urbanization.

The clothing firm Levi Strauss & Co. was established in 1853 and is well-known for producing denim jeans under the Levi’s name.
