House of Surya, known for its incredible seven-decade history, recently honored World Saree Day with a grand celebration. Their event, called “A Celebration Call-Saree,” featured a stunning video highlighting their dedication to making beautiful sarees that blend tradition with modern flair.
During the event, Surya showcased some of its best collections. They displayed the ‘Madhubani’ collection from Bihar, which had lovely threadwork, and the ‘Bandhani’ collection from Gujarat, showing off detailed Zardosi work. They also featured elegant sarees like the ‘Parsi Gara,’ the ‘Ekal Ikat’ from Odisha with a Gotta Patti border, and the ‘Kalamkari’ from Andhra Pradesh with hand-printed designs.
Raghav Mittal, the head of Surya, talked proudly about their heritage and how important it is for them to keep the art of making sarees alive. He said, “Our sarees tell stories of femininity, simplicity, and skill. Collections like ‘Madhubani,’ ‘Bandhani,’ ‘Parsi Gara,’ and others show India’s beautiful cultural diversity.”
Each saree made by the House of Surya is a work of art, carefully decorated by skilled craftsmen. They use top-notch fabrics like silk, satin, and chiffon, aiming to set trends for special occasions. Raghav Mittal also emphasized how important sarees are in Indian fashion and why they deserve such a big celebration.
Raghav Mittal further talked about their dedication to being creative and making elegant sarees that are timeless yet trendy. He said, “Our Surya’s sarees are always beautiful, fitting in with the latest styles, and offering lots of colors beyond the usual soft shades.”
At the event, the House of Surya also introduced their new saree collections called ‘Nazm,’ inspired by stars and Indian heritage, and ‘Sajda,’ showing off stunning bridal wear that sets new standards for luxury.
