H&M is launching a unique newborn collection in collaboration with Sophie la girafe, the beloved baby brand known for its iconic toy. The Sophie la girafe toy, born in 1961 in Paris, has become a cherished companion for babies worldwide. This marks the very first time Sophie la girafe has joined forces with a fashion brand, drawing inspiration from the toy’s timeless style and design. The Sophie la girafe x H&M collaboration is set to launch on October 26, 2023, and will be available both online and in selected stores.
As autumn transitions into winter, the collection focuses on providing everything newborns need, including cozy layering pieces, hooded details, and warmer materials. It features soft and comfortable bodysuits, matching bottoms, velour dungarees, pyjamas, a warm pile jacket, tops, and hats. Matching sets include a velour cardigan and bottoms, as well as a knitted jacquard set. For dressier occasions, there’s a charming dress with a ruffled collar and a polo shirt adorned with an adorable bowtie. Each piece in the collection is ideal for gifting and boasts a color palette inspired by Sophie herself, featuring warm browns and crisp white, along with prints of Sophie and classic mini dots. The materials used include organic cotton for jersey and jacquard knits, organic cotton and recycled polyester for velour, and recycled polyester for fuzzy pile.
