Himalaya Wellness, recognised as India’s No.1 face wash brand, has partnered with the RCB Women’s Team to launch the 1derwoman Academy, an initiative aimed at supporting young girls through mentorship, learning and direct engagement with professional women cricketers. The launch aligns with National Girl Child Day and expands the brand’s ongoing 1derwoman movement, which encourages girls to overcome barriers and strive to be number one in their chosen paths.

The 1derwoman Academy is designed to create meaningful access and opportunity. It introduces an interactive, conversation-driven platform that brings mentorship closer to aspiring cricketers. Young participants across India can register for a chance to secure one of 100 scholarships, while also accessing motivational guidance, cricket insights and confidence-building content shared by members of the RCB Women’s team.

Developed as an interactive chatbot experience, the Academy begins with a welcome message from Team RCB and progresses into personalised responses, advice and practical tips from RCB women players. The structure is intended to make mentorship feel achievable and relatable, turning admiration into real engagement. Participants completing the programme receive a certificate, and their final submission is considered as part of the scholarship selection process, reinforcing Himalaya’s focus on long-term impact.

Speaking on the launch, Rajesh Krishnamurthy, Business Director – Consumer Products Division, Himalaya Wellness Company, said, “At Himalaya, our approach is anchored in building purposeful initiatives that deliver measurable impact. With the launch of the 1derwoman Academy, we are strengthening this commitment by moving beyond inspiration to action, building a structured pathway that supports learning, confidence, and long-term growth for young girls.”

Highlighting the intent behind the initiative, Ragini Hariharan, Marketing Director – Beauty & Personal Care, Himalaya Wellness, added, “1derwoman was created to ensure young girls don’t just admire role models from afar, but feel supported in their own journeys. The Academy allows us to scale this intent by combining technology with credible voices, making mentorship accessible, relatable and relevant for today’s generation.”

Abhishek Ashat, General Manager – Beauty & Face Care, Himalaya Wellness, said, “The 1derwoman Academy is designed to inspire action, not just awareness. Through guided interactions, resources and scholarships, we aim to support young girls at a formative stage of their lives. It is a meaningful extension of our brand purpose where wellness is not just about products, but about nurturing confidence, capability and long-term impact.”

Extending the initiative offline, Himalaya Wellness also organised a cricket tournament in association with the Female Cricket Academy. The event received more than 200 registrations, and 25 young girls earned the opportunity to meet Team RCB, creating a memorable real-world connection.

As women’s cricket continues to gain national attention, the 1derwoman Academy aims to ensure that young girls are not just spectators, but active participants in shaping the future of the sport.
