Himalaya BabyCare, India’s trusted baby care brand, partnered with the Society of Midwives of India (SOMI) to host a Healthy Baby Contest at the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Narapally, Medchal District, Hyderabad. The initiative focused on child growth, maternal wellbeing, and early developmental care. It brought together mothers, babies, healthcare professionals, and community caregivers for a day dedicated to awareness and expert health assessments.
Strong Community Engagement
The event drew participation from more than 65 mothers and their babies, along with 20 antenatal (ANC) mothers. Pediatricians and the PHC team, led by Medical Officer Dr. Shobana Bhandari, supported the activity. The environment remained energetic and engaging, showing the community’s strong interest in improving child health.
During the contest, pediatricians assessed each baby on key developmental indicators such as motor skills, height, weight, and activity levels. These evaluations aimed to help parents understand their child’s developmental milestones early and accurately.
A Continued Commitment to Child Wellness
Himalaya BabyCare has already conducted more than 1,500 Healthy Baby Contests across India. The brand now intends to organize over 2,000 such contests within the next year. This expansion reinforces Himalaya’s dedication to promoting child wellness at the grassroots level.

Second Place – Niyanshika
Third Place – Karthikeya
Winners received exclusive Himalaya Baby Gift Packs. All participants received a goody bag that included a participation certificate, a teddy bear, and a Himalaya BabyCare sample pack.
Guidance for Mothers on Early Childcare
Along with the assessments conducted by SOMI and PHC healthcare professionals, mothers received guidance on essential childcare topics. These included infant nutrition, hygiene, immunization, breastfeeding, and postnatal care. The initiative encouraged families to adopt healthy practices from the earliest stages of a child’s life.
