Heimtextil 2026 is expanding Carpets & Rugs more extensively than ever before. The new structure and broader offering bring leading suppliers and essential product categories together under one roof. For the first time, the show also includes premium unique pieces, creating a complete global overview of the carpet market. Moreover, the new Future Floor area introduces trends, knowledge-sharing, and business opportunities tailored specifically for the sector.
A Broader, More Diverse Showcase Across Four Hall Levels
Carpets & Rugs will be displayed across four hall levels, making the 2026 edition more diverse than in previous years. From 13 to 16 January, Frankfurt will once again host the global carpet community. The expanded segment features market leaders in machine-woven and hand-woven carpets, along with a curated selection of high-quality unique pieces.
Brands such as ABC Italia, Le Cadeau Berbere, North Carpet, Rezas Rugs, Satar Carpet, and TDAP’s joint pavilion will present hand-picked designs. These pieces blend traditional craftsmanship with modern design. As a result, buyers from architecture, design, retail, contract business, and industry gain access to a wider range of textile flooring solutions—from hand-knotted creations to high-volume products.
Innovation and Expertise at the Forefront
“The industry presents a united front in Frankfurt,” says Bettina Bär, Director Heimtextil. She explains that the sector is responding to tough market conditions with a renewed focus on innovation. Therefore, Heimtextil 2026 places the expertise of the carpet community at the center of its content programme. The addition of hand-knotted carpets further strengthens the product portfolio. This positions Heimtextil as the most important global carpet hub.
Future Floor: Trends, Knowledge, and New Possibilities
Future Floor, located in Hall 12.0, becomes the meeting point for professionals who want to stay ahead of textile-flooring trends. The area offers inspiration, expert talks, guided tours, and networking opportunities. A curated display highlights innovative products and sustainable materials. Meanwhile, expert sessions explore new techniques, technologies, and future-ready business ideas.
Key partners include ahgz, Architonic, bdia, brandherm + krumrey, Cover Magazine, Nomad, Oeko-Tex, and world-architects. Highlights feature a panel hosted by Architonic with Golze, Paulig, and Oriental Weavers, followed by talks from Jutta Werner, Andreas Jacob, Lucy Upward, and Patricia Urquiola. Additionally, Alcova’s daily talks and tours connect craftsmanship with AI-driven design insights.
A Strengthened Platform for the Global Carpet Industry
Heimtextil 2026 takes place from 13 to 16 January. With expanded categories, unique pieces, the Future Floor zone, and a stronger knowledge programme, the event reinforces its role as the leading international platform for the carpet industry.
