The patented technique reimagines the traditional baguette cut by positioning two baguette diamonds in precise mirror-image opposition along a central axis, creating a unified diamond form. While retaining the clean geometry and elegance of the classic step cut, the configuration delivers greater brilliance and a more striking visual appearance.
Unlike conventional designs, the Prismix Cut treats both diamonds as active table-facing surfaces. Light enters from two directions simultaneously and interacts across the combined structure’s 38 facets, producing enhanced refraction and reflection. The result is a continuous bilateral glow that delivers improved clarity, depth and brilliance from multiple viewing angles.
Designed for fine jewellery, the Prismix Cut is suitable for necklaces, bracelets, bangles, rings, earrings and other contemporary jewellery pieces featuring linear and geometric aesthetics. The innovation provides jewellery designers with greater creative flexibility while offering consumers a distinctive diamond experience.
The idea for the Prismix Cut originated from a bespoke client requirement where conventional baguette diamonds did not deliver the desired visual effect within a structured jewellery design. Rather than altering the design itself, Hastmilap explored a new approach to the diamond, leading to years of research and development that ultimately resulted in the patented technique.
