According to the company’s social media accounts, Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, has joined Puma India as its newest brand ambassador. Puma India’s commitment to women’s business, particularly in the sports sector, is reflected in this action. Kaur will use several strategies to advertise the brand’s clothing, accessories, and shoes.
The newest brand ambassador was hinted at in a mystery video that Puma India put on its Twitter and Instagram accounts on January 28. Later, Puma released another video confirming Kaur’s inclusion in the rooster of renowned athletes that also includes Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, MC Mary Kom, and Sunil Chhetri.
“With her bold and combative style of play, she perfectly represents our brand’s values and ethos. Puma has consistently advanced the status quo as a company and remained dedicated to empowering, celebrating, and supporting women in sports. This partnership represents a significant step in that direction, according to Abhishek Ganguly, managing director of PUMA India and Southeast Asia. With this collaboration, we wish to uplift younger generations and support the development of Indian women’s cricket. Harmanpreet is a sporting legend.
“Not many people are aware that I scored my first ODI century in 2013 while wearing a pair of Puma boots the company gave me as a sign of support during my formative years. It has been exactly ten years since I was chosen to be the face of Puma. It’s encouraging to see a company like Puma support the development of Indian women’s cricket since it’s essential to advancing the cause. It’s only the beginning, but I have no doubt that this alliance will inspire many more women to pursue careers in cricket,” added Kaur.
