A good handbag is a wardrobe essential but the design and silhouette you choose will differ by occasion and personal taste. From the shoe trends 2022, to the latest handbag styles, updating your look through well-thought-out accessories will give your outfit a directional feel.At the spring/summer 2022 shows, Loewe, Off-White, Gucci and more focused on squishy, slouchy shapes, while models clutched XXL bags at Balmain, The Row and Jil Sander. At the other end of the scale, Dior, Louis Vuitton and Bottega Veneta championed more diminutive accessories, including reworked classics in poppy colours. The oversized bag and the top-handle bag aren’t going anywhere while we make a convincing case for the return of the clutch and investing in an oddly artful, or artfully odd, handbag. There are trusty handbags that will surely keep you satisfied, but there are also newcomers that bring an excitement you can’t ignore.
