Gunther, the young designer brand, is making a comeback at Tranoï’s men’s edition in Paris after a hiatus last season. The spotlight will be on Gunther with a special event on Thursday, January 18, at the Gaîté Lyrique, the venue for the trade show from January 18 to 20.

While there won’t be a traditional fashion show, the label plans a unique cocktail presentation. Designer Naomi Gunther will participate in a morning conference on young menswear brands and present her collection in the first-floor foyer, transformed into a jazz club for the occasion, complete with an orchestra and bubbles.

For the autumn-winter 2024/25 collection, Gunther draws inspiration from the 1920s, featuring soft tailoring, mohair jumpers in shades of grey with lurex thread, and sparkling two-tone voile pyjamas. The festive spirit is enhanced with new additions like brooches and necklaces.

The collection includeincludees a crumpled, flesh-colored polyester suit reminiscent of champagne and a sweatshirt adorned with a pyramid of glasses. Polka-dot silk shirts, emerald velvet suits with pearl buttons, and masculine chunky wools with floral prints complete the wardrobe.

All pieces are crafted in Paris, where Gunther has an office and workshop. Launched in early 2019 by rapper Offset, the brand initially gained attention, but the pandemic slowed its momentum. Gunther continues to thrive with made-to-measure orders and customizations. Besides its e-shop, the brand now collaborates with three retailers: Korean group DFD, a brand in Dubai, and Amazon Fashion e-commerce.
