31st October, Guwahati, Assam, India (ANI/PNN): Grand Assam 2022, a reality show/beauty pageant that ended on Tuesday at Rukminagar Auditorium in Guwahati, included contestants from every district in Assam (October 25, 2022). A photoshoot round, talent round, ramp walk, personal interview, Q & A, fitness challenge, and the grand finale were all part of the four-day television programme based on a beauty pageant.
All of Assam’s districts staged district competitions for contestants of various ages, and the winners, first runners-up, and second runners-up from each district competed for the coveted title of the Grand Assam in the major event held in Guwahati. Mention should be made of the fact that male winners received silver bracelets, and female winners were given silver crowns, in addition to trophies, sashes, and certificates.
The show, which was put on by Fashion Wizards Grand Events, a branch of TYOPA (The Youth Organization of Performing Arts), was directed by Raktim Kumar Das, a well-known event director, model coach, talent promoter, president of TYOPA, and owner of Studio Groom up. Mrinalini Das served as the show’s manager. Additionally, the Grand Assam Excellence Award was given to a number of well-known individuals who had made outstanding contributions to their fields of endeavour. During the performance, Chao Monuj Gogoi, a social worker and youth organiser, Mayuri Dutta, a singer, and Dr. Hitesh Baruah, a doctor, were also honoured together with Shyamkanu Mahanta, who served as the event’s chief guest.

Raktim Kumar Das, the event’s organiser, said it is a first-of-its-kind occasion and the first to be broadcast on a news website (Guwahati Times- https://guwahatitimes.com/). “The major goal of this programme is to provide young people with a suitable platform on which to display their talents. The only way we are different from other organisers is that instead of district-based auditions and a grand finale, Mrinalini Das and I held district-based events, with the winners competing in the final event. So, we can conclude that we did our best to select the participants who were the smartest at the district level and provide them with a different platform “added Das.
The contestants had to go through various competitions like- Talent Round, Personal Interview Round, Question and Answer Round, etc. Das continued, “It was a long event as we started the district-wise events few months back and now in the four-day Grand finale we got the winners of ‘Grand Assam’ through a tough competition.”
Our team members, including Abinash Saikia, assistant event manager; Akash Paul, grooming mentor; Dhanraj Boro; Dharitri Dutta; Bristi Gogoi; Muskan Basfor, coordinator; and fashion designers Panchi Bora, Riyan Kamal, and Niva Devi, contributed to the success of the event, Das added.
Notably, this is the inaugural season of Grand Assam and the seventh year of Fashion Wizards Grand Events in the business.
