Geisha Designs by Paras & Shalini took center stage on the opening day of Lakmé Fashion Week x Fashion Design Council of India with their spectacular collection of statement gowns. The collection, named ‘Profusion,’ reached its grand finale as actress Alaya F graced the runway in alluring sheer separates. Geisha Designs proudly introduced Alaya F as their muse for the ‘Profusion Evening Occasion Wear 2023’ collection, showcasing the ‘Nocturnal Enigma: The Tassel Tempest Ensemble,’ which featured abstract beaded embroidered pants paired with a matching bralet top.
Alaya F’s showstopper ensemble, featuring a daring backless design, epitomized the collection’s bold interpretation of feminine glamour. The entire collection displayed a unique blend of creativity, including gowns adorned with fish-scale-like details and slinky skirts, while sparkling blazers added structural elements to the lineup.In a delightful twist, the collection also included a few menswear looks with a dash of disco inspiration, showcasing sharp white suits reminiscent of disco-era fashion. This disco influence was evident in swirling striped purple gowns and the clever use of metallic hues throughout the ‘Profusion’ collection.
Describing their collection as “a journey where couture becomes an expression of the extraordinary symphony of life itself,” Geisha Designs expressed their unique vision for fashion at Lakmé Fashion Week x Fashion Design Council of India.The event, which began on October 11 and continues until October 15 at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, not only features stunning runway shows but also includes a Designer Stockroom shopping fair and student design showcases, making it a holistic celebration of fashion and creativity.
