Gartex Texprocess India 2025 Opens with Record Turnout

The 13th edition of Gartex Texprocess India 2025 opened on an impressive note at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from 21st–23rd August 2025. Organized by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India Pvt Ltd and MEX Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, the event has set a new benchmark for the garment, textile manufacturing, and denim industries with 200+ exhibitors, 600+ brands, and a record 35% first-time participation.

This year introduces two new highlights — the LeatherX Pavilion and the Textile Care Forum, broadening the show’s scope. Spread across 1,50,000+ sq ft, the exhibition has positioned itself as a global hub for meaningful exchange and innovation in textiles.

The show was inaugurated by Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, Hon’ble Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs and Minister of Power, Government of India, who emphasized textiles’ critical role in generating employment for millions, particularly women and rural communities. He also stressed the sector’s responsibility in adopting renewable energy, noting India’s achievement of its 2030 renewable target ahead of schedule.

Shri Rakesh Sachan, Minister of MSME, Khadi, Village Industries, Sericulture, and Textile, Government of Uttar Pradesh, addressed the need for indigenous textile machinery and highlighted state initiatives like a 150-acre apparel cluster in Noida, set to become Uttar Pradesh’s first textile park.

Industry leaders including Shri Kundan Kumar (IAS), Mr Sharad Jaipuria, Mr Simon Lee, Mr Lalit Thukral, Ms Himani Gulati, Mr Raj Manek, and Mr Olaf Schmidt also shared perspectives, reinforcing India’s growing influence on the global textile map.

Key attractions include The Denim Show (in collaboration with Denim Manufacturers Association), the Fabrics and Trims Show, Screen Print India (Textile), along with the newly launched LeatherX Pavilion and Textile Care Forum.

With impactful discussions, global participation, and cutting-edge showcases, Gartex Texprocess India 2025 has not only reaffirmed India’s textile leadership but also set the stage for future-focused innovations in denim, fabrics, leather, textile care, and sustainable fashion.
