In order to launch their new collaborative fashion and awareness campaign with the Chaanv Foundation, womenswear company Ganga Fashions has teamed up with a group of survivors of acid attacks.

Sanjay Gangwani, the creator of Ganga Fashions, stated in a news release that “our ‘Dil Se Sherni’ campaign transcends fashion.” It’s a movement to promote change and question accepted ideas of bravery and beauty. These women represent perseverance, strength, and transformational power; they are not victims. We hope that this project will elevate their voices and honor their remarkable bravery. At Ganga Fashions, we think that action with a cause can be powerful. Our dedication to changing the world in a significant way is embodied in this campaign.

Acid attack survivors participate in the campaign by donning the newest styles from Ganga Fashions’ ‘Sherni Collection,’ which has vibrant colors and elaborate patterns. While sharing tales of self-assurance and development, Ganga Fashions will give 10% of the campaign’s sales earnings to the Chaanv Foundation. According to the company, the campaign’s story was created in collaboration with its participants to ensure that their tales are portrayed in a genuine manner.

In India, the Chaanv Foundation strives to empower and rehabilitate victims of acid attacks. Alok Dixit and Ashish Shukla founded the non-profit organization in 2013, and it operates several cafés in places like Noida and Lucknow under the moniker Sheroes Hangout.
