Galgotias University has received the Blue Chip Partner Award from L&T EduTech at NEXUS 2026 in Mumbai. The award recognises the university’s contribution to industry-integrated learning and applied skills development.

Larsen & Toubro hosted NEXUS 2026 as a national industry-academia leadership summit. The event brought together more than 65 universities and colleges from across India. Academic leaders and industry experts also attended the summit.

L&T EduTech recognised selected institutions for their work in industry-led education. Galgotias University earned recognition for its focus on practical education, industry exposure and experiential learning.

NEXUS 2026 Highlights Industry-Academia Collaboration

The summit explored the future of higher education and engineering education. Discussions also covered large-scale skilling and the role of practical learning in academic programmes.

The award reflects the growing collaboration between Galgotias University and L&T EduTech. Both organisations are working on initiatives that connect classroom learning with real industrial environments.

Advanced EV Centre of Excellence Supports Practical Learning

A major milestone in this partnership is the Advanced EV Centre of Excellence. L&T EduTech and Galgotias University established the facility to prepare students for the growing electric mobility sector.

The centre provides advanced infrastructure, hands-on exposure and industry-aligned technical learning.

The facility adds to Galgotias University’s network of industry-linked laboratories and Centres of Excellence. The university already works with organisations such as Intel, Apple, Cisco, Salesforce and Tata Technologies, as well as Capgemini and other technology and engineering partners.

These collaborations support learning across several fields. They include AI, supercomputing, iOS development, cybersecurity, smart manufacturing and digital engineering.

336 Students Enrolled in Industry-Integrated Learning Pathways

Currently, 336 Galgotias University students are pursuing four-year industry-integrated learning pathways with L&T EduTech.

The programmes cover advanced fields such as:

  • AI-enabled manufacturing
  • Semiconductor technologies
  • Industrial IoT
  • Cybersecurity
  • Smart infrastructure systems
  • Applied data science
  • Digital engineering

The learning model includes semester-wise industry immersion. Students work with industry experts through applied projects, guided assignments and simulations. They also gain exposure to real-world technologies during their academic programmes.

This approach supports the “train before hire” model. It aims to build practical knowledge, technical confidence and workplace readiness early in students’ university journeys.

Dr. Dhruv Galgotia Comments on the Recognition

Speaking about the award, Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University, said, “Industry exposure cannot remain an optional layer added at the end of a degree. It has to become part of how students learn from the very beginning. Our collaboration with L&T EduTech is helping students engage with real technologies, real engineering systems, and practical problem solving in a far more immersive manner.

“This recognition is meaningful because it acknowledges a shared effort towards building learning ecosystems that are deeply connected with the realities of industry, innovation, and technological change. We are grateful to L&T EduTech for this partnership and for creating opportunities that allow students to graduate with stronger practical capability, confidence, and industry readiness.”

The award at NEXUS 2026 strengthens Galgotias University’s focus on applied learning, industry partnerships and innovation-led education. It also highlights the role of industry collaboration in preparing students for changing workplace and technology needs.
