Arena is eager to capitalise on the link with fashion, much like other sporting goods companies, and is especially interested in beachwear. Arena, a competition swimwear expert whose primary market is France, has invested more resources in beachwear, which has previously been put on the back burner. In order to increase its exposure, Arena decided to exhibit for the first time at Pitti Uomo, a fashion show held in Florence from June 13-16. Arena and The Woolmark Company created a partnership specifically for the event.

Quintin Michael Donders was hired as the head of beachwear by Arena, which has been owned by the Swiss investment fund Capvis since 2013, six months ago. Donders is a seasoned executive with a solid background in brand development and worldwide sales. He has worked with a number of sportswear companies, including G-Star Raw, Replay, Timberland, Lotto, and Scotch & Soda.

The goal of Arena is to increase its selection. About 150 items make up the Spring/Summer 2024 collection, which includes accessories, clothing, and swimwear for both men and women. Arena’s simple urban wardrobe consists of bags, sweatshirts, t-shirts, shorts, trousers, and dresses. Innovation and quality are prioritised, with breathable performance materials taking centre stage.

A 60 percent wool swimming costume from a capsule collection created in collaboration with The Woolmark Company introduces a compact, fast-drying mixed fabric that stands out for its texture and vibrant colours. A partnership with Marcelo Burlon is also in the works, after Arena’s previous launches of projects with Bape, Fendi, and Avnier.
