International textile and clothing producers will gather in Paris from July 1–3, just in time for the Olympics. At the Porte de Versailles, 1,154 firms will be present at the Texworld and Apparel Sourcing shows.

With about 530 exhibitors, Apparel Sourcing will be quite similar to Texworld, the textile and materials expo, which has about 570 exhibitors. In addition, the Denim zone will have over 30 exhibitors, while the Leatherworld zone, which is co-produced with Edizioni AF, will bring together 20 leather professionals and hold a Leather Trend conference.

The debut of Yarn Expo, a section devoted to yarns and fibers that mirrors the twice-yearly Messe Frankfurt expo alongside Intertextile Shanghai, is a highlight of this year’s event. Yarn Expo will showcase items from Pakistan, Taiwan, India, and China.

Apparel Sourcing is pleased to host 30 Chinese manufacturers this year who will either showcase their own brands or create white-label products for European distributors. The Chinese Brands Gallery emblem will be used to identify these exhibitors, according to the organizer. Additionally, the accessories market will grow to encompass a variety of purses and jewelry.

The innovative Avantex area will feature a ReSources zone devoted to sustainable innovation as well as a Designer Hub for discussions between buyers and designers. The Near Sourcing Hub, which will showcase about 20 businesses from Portugal, Turkey, and Serbia, will provide proximity production solutions.

There will also be a number of themed conferences throughout this session. The possibilities and difficulties of digital product passports for textile products will be discussed by the Bali Chair. The emergence of African fashion, evolving European legislation, and the devaluation of textile goods will all be covered in addition.
